Away in Italy, will propose you a tour to the most beautiful Italian Royal Palace, a Unesco heritage site: Reggia di Caserta. The palace was specially requested by Carlo di Borbone, but it was designed by Luigi Vanvitelli. With its 1200 rooms, the palace was meant to challange the one in Versailles, that was considered the quintessential royal palace at that time. The project to build the Reggia was just a small part of a bigger plan of the King, that was aimed at tie the palace with the capital, Naples. Caserta is considered a triumph of Italian Baroque, and ahead of its time. Expanding across 11 acres, the garden’s pools, fountains and cascades are aligned through a ‘telescope effect’, extending as far as the eye can see.
