DAY 1: Verona
In the morning pick up the rental car at Venice airport or at Venice Rail Station, then depart for Verona, home of Shakespeare’s ill-fated lovers Romeo and Juliet, where we’ll view Juliet’s balcony. Overnight stay at the hotel. Meals included: –
DAY 2: Verona/Florence
Continue to Florence, one of the most culturally rich and beautiful cities in Italy. The Medicis, Leonardo da Vinci, Raphael, Michelangelo, Donatello all lived in Florence. It is possible to participate in a guided walking tour that includes the city’s most symbolic landmarks or a guided tour of one of the main museums: the Uffizi Galleries or the Accademia Gallery. In the evening you can eat the famous Bistecca alla Fiorentina, the Florentine Beef Steak. Overnight stay at the hotel. Meals included: Breakfast.
DAY 3: Florence/Pisa/San Gimignano
Pisa’s UNESCO-listed Square of Miracles is your first stop today where you will have the opportunity to view the Leaning Tower. In the afternoon you can visit San Gimignano with is historical old centre, UNESCO-listed. Alternatively, you can go on half-day or full-day excursions to discover the neighbouring places of interest such as the Chianti district with its world-famous wines. Come back in Florence. Overnight stay at the hotel. Meals included: Breakfast.
DAY 4: Siena/Montalcino/Rome
In the morning you can visit Siena and its historic center. The city is famous for the Palio, a horse race in medieval dress. In the afternoon you continue to Montalcino where you will visit a winery that produces the famous Brunello di Montalcino, one of the best red wines in the world.
Your journey continues to Rome. At the end of the day, drop-off the rental car at Roma Fiumicino Airport or Roma Termini Rail Station. Overnight stay at the hotel. Meals included: Breakfast.
DAY 5: Rome
The great capital, first of the Roman Empire and afterwards of the Republic of Italy. At the end of our tour, so rich in emotions, which has proceded through landscapes, historical periods and authentic places, the entrance to Rome is its climax. Rome is the Great Beauty, an eternal city with milleniums of history, luxury palazzi, sophisticated art and an enigmatic present. Time in Rome seems to exist in another dimention. It is elastic and formless but heartfull and sinful at the same time. We recommend a guided tour of the Vatican Museums or a tour of Ancient Rome. Overnight stay at the hotel. Meals included: Breakfast.
DAY 6: Depart Rome
Your adventures come to end today. As there is so much to see in Rome, we recommend you stay a little longer. We are happy to book additional accommodation for you (subject to availability). Meals included: Breakfast.
